This workshop is for children (aged 8-12) in which Angela will introduce them to drawing from nature, colour mixing and using a brush as a precision tool to paint nature studies.

Previous similar workshops have produced some of the sparkling collection of works on view in the Living Ocean Exhibition at Linton & Kay, open 9–30 January 2025.

Angela Rossen is the first Artist in Residence at the Heritage Collective. She is both an artist and a biodiversity educator. As well as her studio practice, she has worked with marine biologists in the School of the Biological Sciences at UWA for fifteen years as a science communicator. She also holds the position of Adjunct Artist with the Australian Institute of Marine Science. Whilst working alongside her scientific colleagues Angela has created an opus of artworks on near shore marine biodiversity. Her work can be seen on her website www.angelarossen.com

Supported by Curtin Heritage Living and Lotterywest.

Free session but registration is essential.
