The much-anticipated Indian Ocean Craft Triennial (IOTA) is set to return with its second edition after its momentous debut in 2021. Spanning three months, August to October 2024, this extraordinary event promises to be a vibrant celebration of contemporary craft and cultural exchange of the Indian Ocean Region.

The international exhibition at the heart of IOTA24 will highlight the work of 32 craft artists and groups from six Indian Ocean countries—India, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Africa, Yemen, including First Nations Australia, and Australians of IOR heritage. The Major Exhibition Partners of Fremantle Arts Centre, John Curtin Gallery and Holmes à Court Gallery, will be supported by a further 50+ galleries and art spaces who will present IOTA-specific exhibitions and events from Esperance to Broome.

The Heritage Collective theatre hosts a unique opportunity to hear from the curators of IOTA24 before the program is made public on 31 May 2024.

This is a free event.
