DESCRIPTION:Angela Rossen is the Heritage Collective’s first Artist in Residence. You will find out more about Angela : \nArtist in Residence \n \nAngela will guide visitors to explore coastal birds and discuss natural life at the Nature Discovery Space which is regularly tended to by the amazing team of volunteers at Cottesloe Coastcare. \nLearn how to spot the birds of the dunes and the shore. Bring your binoculars or just come as you are. \nMeet at the Cottesloe Nature Discovery Space near Vlamingh Lookout. \nAngela Rossen is both an artist and a biodiversity educator. She has worked with marine biologists in the School of the Biological Sciences at UWA for fifteen years as a science communicator. She is an amazing artist\, a painter that can capture colour\, movement and unique experiences of the ocean floor. \nAngela’s residency will bring children\, families and the wider community into nature to discover\, observe and record the living things in their own environment. \nThis experience is free\, but registration is essential. \nSupported by Curtin Heritage Living and Lotterywest.

DESCRIPTION:Angela Rossen is the first Artist in Residence at the Heritage Collective. \nLearn how to paint a nature study. No experience needed\, everything is provided. \nIntroduction to drawing from nature\, colour mixing and using a brush as a precision tool to pain nature studies. \nAngela Rossen is both an artist and a biodiversity educator. As well as her studio practice\, she has worked with marine biologists in the School of the Biological Sciences at UWA for fifteen years as a science communicator. She also holds the position of Adjunct Artist with the Australian Institute of Marine Science. Whilst working alongside her scientific colleagues Angela has created an opus of artworks on near shore marine biodiversity.
