DESCRIPTION:Learn to record the world around you in a sketchbook using line and wash (pen and watercolour). Develop a regular sketching practice\, sketching from life whenever you can\, wherever you go recording your experiences. The process will nurture your creativity\, enhance your artistic skills as well as improve your general well being. \nCourse highlights: Learn basic drawing and watercolour techniques. Start by sketching everyday objects in a simple handmade watercolour sketchbook made by you. Progress to sketching on location on the beautiful grounds of the Heritage Collective. \nBee K C Tan is an accomplished visual artist\, keen urban sketcher\, and experienced art educator based in Perth. It’s a trend gaining popularity because most of us have old jeans at home\, and thrift stores have plenty of denim available\, making it easy and affordable to source materials. \nJoin designer Madelyn Jane and learn how to make a cool tote bag or other bag by repurposing your old denim clothing using the pockets\, the waistbands\, the legs\, the zips and buttons and belt loops. Along the way you will learn sewing tips and innovative ways of making the most of every part of your jeans\, so there’s no waste at all. \nGrab a pair of your old jeans or run to your local charity shop and let’s get started! \nSuitable for ages 12–17 years and beginners to intermediates.
