Rosie will guide the session step-by-step using a simple teach-and-do format: she demonstrates each stage\, then you paint with her support and individual guidance throughout.\nBy the end of the session\, you will leave with your own finished sardine painting — signed and ready to hang. \nWorkshop Details\n•	Date: Thursday 16 April\n•	Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm\n•	Location: Makerspace\, The Heritage Collective\, Cottesloe\n•	Cost: $120 per person\n•	Canvas Size: 20 × 25 cm\n•	Medium: Acrylic paint\n•	Skill Level: All welcome — beginners and experienced painters alike \nWhat You’ll Experience\nThe morning unfolds in a relaxed rhythm of demonstration and painting:\n• Welcome\, introductions and canvas preparation\n• Painting the coloured ground of the canvas\n• Rosie’s demonstration: drawing and blocking in the sardine\n• Participants sketch and begin painting their composition\n• La Mer Morning Tea — a gentle break to refresh and view your work with new eyes\n• Demonstration of detail work and finishing techniques\n• Time to refine and complete your painting \nRosie will show how to bring your sardine to life through texture\, light and delicate finishing touches — from the shimmer of scales and translucent fins to the subtle highlights that make the fish appear to glisten. \nYou will leave with\n• Your own 20 × 25 cm sardine painting\n• A finished artwork signed and ready to hang\n• New painting techniques and skills \nMaterials Provided\nEverything you need is supplied\, including:\n• Primed canvas and easel\n• Acrylic paints in a curated sardine palette\n• Brushes and painting tools\n• Reference images and painting guides \nSimply arrive ready to paint.\nPlaces are limited to keep the experience intimate and allow for individual guidance.
