SUMMARY:Natural Jewellery with Sultana Shamshi
DESCRIPTION:Create unique works of jewellery and adornment from natural objects\, such as seeds and nuts. Sultana will guide you in basic jewellery techniques to make something intensely personal in this very satisfying tactile activity. Originally from Bombay\, she has lived and worked in Perth for several decades. She says: Using natural materials and found objects I try to keep my jewellery practice sustainable\, thought provoking\, and reflective of the landscape of Western Australia. \nSultana is known for bringing people together\, sharing stories of family and culture\, often combining her craft and culinary practices. \nWhen: Thursday 23 January\nTime: 10am–12pm\nWhere: The Makerspace\nCost: $35 per person\nMaterials will be supplied.\nAll materials are ethically sourced with permissions and from licensed suppliers.
