Meet Donna Hamilton from The Freo Florist, whose beautiful table settings create unforgettable dinner parties.

Tablescaping—the art of arranging a table—has been around since the 18th century when aristocrats showcased their wealth with elaborate centrepieces and fine tableware at social gatherings. Today, tablescaping is experiencing a revival. A simple search for “#tablescape” on social media reveals millions of enthusiasts globally crafting beautiful dining setups using plateware, textiles, fabrics, and of course, botanicals.

In this two-hour, hands-on workshop held in the Heritage Collective Club Lounge, Donna will guide you in curating your table for various occasions. Learn the art of floral design and summer tablescaping including a flat lay foliage runner, a gorgeous quirky display of bud vases and a grand bridal table for ten. Take home a fresh, new creative skill set as well as a beautiful native flower bouquet. Recreate what you have learned at home for the very best of new season entertaining. Just add an ambient playlist, delicious food, and your favourite guests and you have a feast for all the senses!

“Students not only leave with an armful of flowers, but also a head full of new ideas and deeper understanding of our local botanical neighbours.” Donna Hamilton
