School Holidays: Mini Beasts Painting Party with Rosie

Join artist and qualified teacher Rosie Nixon for a fun, colourful still-life painting workshop designed to inspire creativity and confidence.

Children will learn to:

• Observe and sketch a simple still-life
• Mix vibrant colours
• Explore acrylic painting techniques
• Children will choose a favourite colourful and vibrant insect, butterfly or moth as inspiration for their own artwork. They will explore observational drawing, painting, colour and mark making to create a unique and colourful mini-beast composition.

With step-by-step guidance and plenty of encouragement, children will experiment, express their creativity and discover that there’s no such thing as a perfect painting — every artwork is unique! Suitable for 6–12 year olds / No previous painting experience necessary.

Meet Rosie
Rosie is The Heritage Collective’s Artist in Residence. With 25+ years of primary teaching experience and a passion for still-life art, Rosie creates supportive, engaging workshops where children can build skills, confidence and their own creative style.

Parents & guardians are welcome to paint alongside their teen — simply book an additional place.
