Last Thursday our Club Lounge was buzzing with creativity as eight floral enthusiasts joined The Freo Florist for a hands-on Tablescaping Workshop. Together we explored the art of styling a table from the flowers up – and the results were stunning. Here are some of the highlights and tips from the session:
- Flatscaping: Low, wide arrangements that let guests see and talk to each other while still enjoying an abundant floral display.
- Bud vases: Scattering small vessels with single stems along the table creates rhythm and interest without overpowering the setting.
- Natives: Banksia, eucalyptus and kangaroo paw add sculptural beauty, muted tones and longer vase life – perfect for relaxed yet elevated styling.
- Sustainable flowers: Sourcing locally and seasonally not only supports nearby growers but also reduces your environmental footprint.
To complete their creations, participants styled their arrangements with beautiful ceramic tableware and luxurious napery from Darling & Domain, layering textures and colours like professional stylists.
It was an inspiring afternoon of conversation, creativity and new skills to take home. Thank you to everyone who joined us – we can’t wait to see how you bring these ideas to your own tables!
